Disability Advocacy
Internship Program
Benefits and Opportunities
Personalized Learning
We collaborate with each intern to create a semester-long curriculum and leadership project based on their academic background, career aspirations, and learning goals.
Academic Credit
We support students interested in course credit for their internship hours and degree progression. Upon the intern's request, we'll communicate with their professor and/or department to complete the necessary documents.
Leadership Development
Supplemented with online resources, we help each intern expand their skills in communication, networking, and collaboration in digital/virtual environments as they initiate a disability advocacy project and build their leadership capabilities.
Digital Features
Interns who complete their leadership project will be featured on WDDA's newsletter, podcast, and social media, where they can share their learning experiences, key takeaways, and success story as a disability advocate!
